    Can you not just glance and see approximately? Can't think visually, must convert to numerical?

    Yes, if I give the screen a lil' kiss with my eyelids I can probably see that the icon has 8 pixels in height instead of 11.

    That is not what I would call a "glance" though; I can, however, just glance and see approximately, by looking at the first digit of the number.
