Farmer trusted AI after it gave good advice, then it helped wipe out 25 acres of his crops

"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"
A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.
AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.
I just don't get the headline on this. If AI gave good advice it wouldn't have killed everything. What it should say is the man trusted that AI gave good advice he was mistaken.
The first time he asked he got good advice. The second time he asked he did not get good advice.
