Didn't Castro culturally genocide the capitalists?

I do like that the meme kinda works that way too - with the infighting between (ml) socialists, communists, anarchists and democratic socialists.

But a political and economic purge is objectively absolutely necessary, although it does not have to be some bloody brutal affair. Like putting half of the supreme court on trial and purging them, or nationalizing fossil fuel or social media. Someone, really anyone rational who is not a fascist, neoliberal or sociopath needs to gain power and then has to be willing to wield that power forcefully and "authoritatively" because of the immense current power and wealth inequality. The power has to go back to a democratic government.

So both "purge" and "authoritarian" is constantly used as scary thought terminating cliche and needs to be rehabilitated. And "cultural genocide" is of course often thrown in as a bonus. That's a divide and conquer strategy of the empire. Just look at how CNN treats Angie Nixon.
