I accept that she wasn't referencing the historical meaning on purpose. She likely wasn't a classic Nazi trying to dog whistle. However, not recognizing the phrase is concerning. Especially given the current rise of Nazi-compatible ideology in power.

    If she didn't mean it that way, I don't see how it's concerning. A lot of people display swastikas with no intention of referring to Nazis. The words "final" and "solution" aren't owned by Nazi Germany into perpetuity.

    Not knowing a specific phrase isn't exactly unheard of. And a person using it to mean something else isn't a Nazi.

    Well yes, the swastika was used way before Nazi time and while they definitely sullied it, I am not sure denying others the use for a completely different meaning is the best way forward.
