Coming out of warp should always look like that, whether ship was in visual range to begin with or not.

The ship should suddenly appear, THEN the warp trail comes into view… in reverse, as the light reaches your vantage point, then finally the burst of light from exiting warp.

The only way you’re supposed to see it in the order the show depicts it is if the ship comes out of warp traveling away from you.
