Well good for you that your experience with replacing a gas car with a EV car doesn't cost you more in tires. That's not my experience and not the experience of others and yes I spend a more on tires than the ICE car, not SUV, car that I replaced with the same driving habits.

    The experience of others is the same as mine. Tires are worn down by high acceleration and weight, not electricity. That means your driving habits and the weight of your vehicle. Now go drive safely.

    You bought expensive "EV" tires, and they wore out early and you bought the same shit again. They saw you coming.

    And you're here online literally claiming it's because it's an EV, and you're getting mad at someone for pointing out that it's weight and acceleration, not electricity that wears out tyres.

    And you bought a WankPanzerMobile.

    The V8 Mustang weighs between 3500lbs-4000lbs and the Tesla Model 3 weighs between 3500lbs-4000lbs.

    You either got a heavier model, or you use that electric acceleration more, or you bought gimmicky tires that wear out faster based on some marketing that clearly fooled you into thinking that magically the driving force behind the wheels turning somehow changes the physics between a car, it's tyres and the road.

    You should be ashamed that you're repeating this marketing crap on the internet, and you should go to a different tyre stop and take your wife with you out someone else who won't fall for the marketing bullshit.

    You were duped. Buy less gimmicky tires. It's a car, and electricity isn't magic even if it feels like it is.

    Sigh, one last reply before I block you and the rest of this community.

    the 2008 V8 manual Mustang's rated curb weight is 3,483 and the 2018 Model 3 LR is at 3,891, again as my other post stated, they're roughly equivalent, M3 a bit more and again, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE between the two is that tires that were equivalent Pirelli non "EV Rated" and with equivalent driving styles, the EV just did not last as long and that increased the cost FOR TIRES.

    Nowhere did I state you should by "gimmicky" tires as you say and endorsing them, that's you making a straw man argument.

    Fuck, I've forgotten how Internet EV owners on the internet can be absolutely insufferable.

    It's the extra weight or the extra acceleration or the different tyres. It can't be the electricity, as you admitted elsewhere.

    Put it in eco mode, drive less aggressively, get a lighter car or buy harder tyres, or of you don't want that, then buy tyres more frequently because you adore the acceleration. (I sure do.) And you're still saving on pollution and money over a fossil fuel car.

    But I don't go through tyres like you do and I don't completion about my car letting me zoom to my heart's content.

    It's possible to drive an EV calmly and enjoy the smooth efficiency, which is another thing I like to do.
