Been wanting to get back into setting it up for torrenting on my server. Will have to do some research and set it back up this weekend. Nows a better time than any I guess. Thanks for the reminder to start again. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 6 child comments replies: [–] mlg@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago (1 child) I tried it again recently as a comparison to Tor and I much prefer the "everyone is a node" system + full TCP and UDP support, but the main downside is throughput/bandwidth. It's excellent if you've got time but I wish they would bump the default node share limits so thst the network runs faster. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] ItsNotImportant24@lemmy.ml 6 points 2 weeks ago Yeah, I do know its alot slower. I at least want to get it set up as a fallback if this bullshit the governments are doing actually happens. permalink fedilink source parent [–] scrubbles@poptalk.scrubbles.tech 1 point 2 weeks ago (3 children) How do you get started? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 3 child comments replies: [–] ItsNotImportant24@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 weeks ago If I remember correctly its setting up a software I2P router on your OS and setting up your browser to only go through that router. Like I said its been a long time since I used it and need to look it up how to set it up and use it again. permalink fedilink source parent [–] HulkSmashBurgers@reddthat.com 2 points 1 week ago (1 child) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=C0tbAFccn8E https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KhG29riqVUE permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] scrubbles@poptalk.scrubbles.tech 1 point 1 week ago Thanks! permalink fedilink source parent
