It reminds me of when I watched the Malcolm X (1992). Malcolm X is in prison before he joined the Nation of Islam and Malcolm character swears and the John Bembry character says "a man curses because he doesn't have the words to say what's on his mind." He was then told to read the dictionary to find words to better articulate what he was saying.

I think the same thing applies here.
