Those hoses can't be bent because of the water flow.

He wasn't the only one doing things and in no way slowed down the whole procedure. There are many steps involved in getting water going and connecting the hose is merely one step. They also don't need the hose from a hydrant hooked up to spray what's already in the tank unless they showed up empty.

    The amount of water in a tank is a fraction of what is needed to tackle a major fire. You've got about 3 minutes worth with a branch open at full flow.

    Because of that limitation, you also aren't going to start an internal attack until you have a reticulated supply established, since running out of water while inside a building is a potential death sentence.

    If I were in the same position I would have simply run my feeder run around or over the car rather than messing about like this guy.

    Can confirm. We had 2500 liters of water, which lasts for about three minutes on full blast. In case of fire, it's the first priority, and sometimes the hydrant is quite some distance away.

    And can also confirm, the actions in the video are unnecessary.
