The amount of water in a tank is a fraction of what is needed to tackle a major fire. You've got about 3 minutes worth with a branch open at full flow.

Because of that limitation, you also aren't going to start an internal attack until you have a reticulated supply established, since running out of water while inside a building is a potential death sentence.

If I were in the same position I would have simply run my feeder run around or over the car rather than messing about like this guy.
