That’s not OCD? permalink fedilink source hideshow 3 child comments replies: [–] BlindPenguin@piefed.social [S] 8 points 3 days ago (1 child) Not an expert, but i think in OCD it's more of a compulsive action. Kinda like "It has to be this way or something bad happens". In my flavour of "autism light edition" (autistic features diagnosis in the 90s) it is more about absolutely hating the way pills feel & taste, so i have to find ways to trick my brain into giving me access rights to the swallow function. Combining it with food usually works too. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] BooBees@fedinsfw.app 1 point 3 days ago Interesting, thanks for the insight! permalink fedilink source parent [–] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 1 point 3 days ago OCD and ASD can induce a lot of similar behavior. I scored really high on all the autism screeners but the ocd (and other stuff) diagnoses fit me in a way that asd never did. permalink fedilink source parent
