I dont think its even possible. Those franchises took off when the US was a monoculture. Not only would creating the conditions necessary for something new to become truly uniquitous be impossible within our lifetime, it would also be monstrous to do.

    Marvel was not that big in mainstream culture before the MCU. So it's basically new. It was just very successful, there are other comics that never got that big but could.

    Spider-Man has been pretty iconic since the 60s. My mom could easily recognize Spider-Man, but probably would struggle with Batman.
