I don't know what you mean by both, it's not a coverup story. It's my attempt to understand how a politician so obsessed with virtue signaling could fuck it up so badly. It's the only explanation I've seen that makes any sense.

Is there another explanation?

    You could meet indigenous leaders for an hour and still go work on your relationship later. We don't know that he was working on his marriage, other than if he offered that as an excuse later. As a leader of the country you sort of need to put the job ahead of personal plans
