For me, if I'm needing to lock the door then I'm not alone, whereas if I'm alone then I'm not gonna bother locking the door so I shouldn't need immediate access to my phone.

Although, having your phone in a bathroom drawer is probably not nearly as bad as having it in the open room since the steam won't get to it as easily.
