A Futurism article about "AI bros are having a meltdown because the Associated Press stylebook clarifies that AIs don’t have feelings" featured this guy's tweets in the first sentence. Turns out he was talking about dogs instead of AI.

All of that but also dog nerve cells (and other animals') bear only a passing resemblance to the matrix operations we call "Artificial Neural Networks", besides all other cells, hormones, enzymes and tissue that influence its neurological functioning. So actually "AI's" only similarity to dogs is that you can ask a chatbot to pretend to bark.

    Yes! Even the design is "biologically inspired". Spiking neural nets are a little bit better, but that fruit fly people have been doing stuff with uses a better model still. LLMs are more like a Magic 8-ball that instead of shaking you insert a fortune from a cookie.
