It's not that rational of a position. I mainly just think that plastic looks and feels tacky as hell.
I mean, I am also trying to reduce plastic items in my household in general, because it's just less potential sources of microplastics, but I have no idea, if these pots would even give off any microplastics. They don't typically get abraded, at least.
I guess, on the flipside though, non-plastic pots can be good for plants. For example, if you have a plant which struggles in moist soil, then a terracotta pot can help to move that moisture out.
