U.S. President Donald Trump seemingly discussed the idea of foreign powers taking out California’s most populated cities while delivering a speech at a Republican rally at the Pinnacle Bank Expo in Grand Island, Nebraska Monday evening.

At this point, why is California even in the US? Calexit, Pacifica, Cascadia, whatever you want to call it, now.

Because we fought a civil war over that sort of thing? States can't just secede just because they feel like it. No president is going to also roll over and let that happen on their watch - many lives were lost to preserve the union and the only way that's going to change is if many more lives get lost.

The way i see it, you either fight to stay in the US in the face of invasions, or you fight to leave the US. If the US is so willing to give LA and SD away, why can't they just leave?

The US is not our current president, who should have literally been sentenced to death for sedition, that is saying this insane shit.

A lot of us, most of us actually, are not keen on this orange faced fucker nor the bullshit his administration has been doing. I truly believe the reason we haven't seen more violence in the streets is that we still have hope these elections in November will bring things back to a semblance of normality, hopefully that's true.

    I fear it is not.

I hear you, but isn’t that what Putin wants? A disunited west?

First, how is it united now? Second, why would two countries that used to be one not align against a common adversary?

It’s United because it’s one country.

Why would two separate entitities act as one?

Look at Brexit. Putin definitely celebrated after that.

LOL that's literally the basis for the USA and the EU. Separate countries that join together as a block.

The only way to exit the USA as a state is revolutionary war and winning that war. for CA that would require all the military bases in CA to outnumber the rest of the country AND for all the personnel on those bases to side with and fight with CA or for some other military force to capture all those bases, than bases all over the US, at that point, winning the war would be totally destroying the US government and military, meaning CA would then become the ruling body of the USA, so the necessary methods won't really meet the desired outcome, you can't stop being a state, we fought a whole war about this, you can only exit with war, and winning means becoming the governing body of the US, so if CA really wants to leave, it's gonna cost a lot of money and lives and it's never going to work out the way you want it to.
