He reminds me a lot of HRC. We know he exists to run for president, but we know very little about what he actually stands for. We know what he's against.

At first glance I thought "he" was referring to Bernie and my brain started to melt.

On second read, I think you're talking about Newsom. I hope you're taking about Newsom.

Sadly Bernie's brain has also started to melt. I'm a fan of the guy, but not a fan of him in the Senate any more.

He is simply too old. Even if he is the best example of someone who wants to bring people together, after a certain age you can't really understand what the young people are about.

Soft disagree. A very old man can "get it" without being "Hey fellow youths! 76 skippity toilet bees knees." But the efforts needed to connect are harder as they get older (like everything else), and Senate is so old, insular, and entrenched its definitely not the place to understand up-to-date issues beyond being spoonfed talking points by an orchestrating team.

Yeah, i was more talking in general terms of old people. Nowadays we also have the added complexity of how fast the world changes. Bernie was born in 1941. He went from computers being practically nonexistent in public life to our modern times, and most of that change was in the last 3 decades - he already was over 50 when windows 3.1 launched in '92.

Not many people that age have the mental acuity left to keep up at all.
