Why do older generations pee all over the toilet seat? (lemmy.zip)

Ok so this is a bit odd but hear me out. Whenever I have older family members or neighbors over my house, I always find pee on the toilet seat, floor, and wall next to my toilet. It happens without fail, and it’s always boomers.

When I have friends over (Millenial age) this is never a problem. The bathroom is always much cleaner and the guys are always fine, even after a few drinks.

But boomer guys? Straight blasting bootstrap piss. It’s crazy.

Anyone else notice this?

Yeah I've noticed it. There's several reasons I think, some good and some bad:

  • upbringing

  • can't be bothered in their old age

  • losing eyesight causes them to miss seeing drops after the fact

  • wrinkly plumbing tends to make fountains instead of streams

  • can't bend to clean up, because of bad backs/legs

  • shaky hands and bad aim if very old

  • revenge for not cleaning up after your messes when much younger? 😂
