The letter seems to say that the civil war will be waged by Democrats and that Democrats are using the LA anti-ICE protests to challenge Trump. This seems ludicrous because leaders of the Democratic Party are far more concerned with giving money to Israel and Democrats ran on being against immigration.

The letter concludes that only the ACP can prevent the Second American Civil War. ACP is basically just making this declaration to try to recruit people to their reactionary party.

So are they for or againsy the protests?

The letter seems incoherent to me. It says that ACP considers undocumented Mexican immigrants to be de facto US citizens because of "historic ties to the land". The letter doesn't mention being against deportation of other immigrants.

Trump's administration has had focus on deporting migrants who express criticism of Israel or support socialism. Trump's administration has also had a focus on targeting immigrants from Venezuela. Many immigrants came to the US from Venezuela as asylum seekers because of the sanctions that the US placed on Venezuela in Trump's first term and remained during the Biden presidency.

The letter seems to say that ACP thinks that the protesters are pawns of the Democrats and that ICE is unconstitutional. They present themselves as against both. I think they're more against the protests. It's odd that they only say that they support Mexican immigrants but not other immigrants.

Against because its somehow a democrat plot to overthrow Trump and not the people of LA defending themselves against ICE raids, which ACP also condemns. A clear rejection of reality.

They don't really take a side? They are anti-deportation at least.

[–] ZWQbpkzl@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago

Anti-deportation but anti-deportation protests are bad because democrats.

That shit's garbage, yo.

The Democrat vs Republican divide will NEVER rise to a civil war. That's the whole point - limit people's understanding of "politics" to the spectrum of rainbow capitalism to fascism.

There may be a civil war in the coming decades, but it will be between capitalism and socialism.

Now is not the time in the movement to even talk about civil war - it is unnecessarily inflammatory to the existing system that has the power to crush any leftist organization.

For now, our strategy is the same as cockroaches: multiply and don't attract attention. Some of us will be caught in the light and smashed under boots, and they will find our deaths inconvenient, though mostly because they have to clean up our guts. When the light comes on we must scatter, because we don't have the strength to stop the boot from falling.

Yet.

With every contradiction, we get stronger. With every crisis, every late paycheck, increased rent, asshole boss, price gouge, planned obsolescence, enshittified service, every FUCKING unskippable ad, our numbers grow. And one day, perhaps in our lifetimes, they will try to crush one of us, and the walls will explode in roaches. We will stand together by the millions and the boot will stop. And on that day, we will finally be free.

We have a long and perilous journey ahead of us, and we need everyone we can get. Take care of yourself, look out for each other, and continue to multiply.

Our day will come.

The so-called "communist" party doesnt understand basic class analysis.

[–] dead@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The ACP does have very bad class analysis. One of their more infamous theories is the "mechatankie" theory. Haz Al-Din cooked up this theory that the real proletariat is farm owners. He describes farm owners as proletarians with a mechasuit/exoskeleton. The truth is that farm owners are typically petit-bourgeoisie or bourgeoisie and hire highly exploited farm workers, typically seasonal migrants.

Another bad class analysis that ACP has had is saying that baristas aren't proletarian. They claim that making coffee is not a real modification of coffee beans.

amazing, they're literally reconstructing the jeffersonian mythology of the yeoman farmer, updated to the modern day and cloaked in misused marxist terminology
