US media has been increasingly state controlled since, at a minimum, its inception.
That's the real reason they want age verification and mass censorship on the internet, BTW. No one in the West would have ever known about Israel's genocidal campaigns against Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, etc, if it weren't for the open internet.
