I'm very curious to see if the counter tariffs from China will lead to a complete escalation or if the orange clown will cry about it and back off. I hope it's the second but I fear the worst, I think a total crash out is in the cards.

Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

Well if he does go through with that then I think the Americans will be way more hurt by it then China will be. China can keep trading with the rest of the world and I think their people are more resilient. If Karen from Missouri can't get her cheap Teemu and Shein shit she's gonna blow.
He’s tried this here in Canada for months and he’s backed down literally every announcement. It’s whiplash but past behaviour tells me this won’t stick, either.
I think he’s serious this time. He hasn’t made any of the usual wishy-washy statements yet. What has come out of him so far sounds as if he’s not afraid of the consequences anymore.
He's worked himself into a corner, & he HAS to have the spine to carry-through his economic-mass-shooting, now.
it takes 3y, btw, to get to the true-rock-bottom of a Great Depression,
so that should be in 2028, just in time for him to invoke "emergency measures" & remove the Constitution, so he can't be removed as dictator, anymore..
Psychological-reconfiguration takes time .. & that is significant, both in the changes that got him here, & also in the changes from here to where much of the West is butchered
( he wants to destroy the EU in a pincer between Putin & continental-Trump: that is why he requires both Canada & Greenland's annexation.
Also, once he's got Greenland, he can confiscate all trade to Canada, & break Canada quicker.
This is "being taken to the secondary-crime-scene" territory we're in, & politicians are not understanding this.
IF Canada still stands, when Trump falls, in 2031-ish, THEN I expect the total death-toll in the North American War to have been .. possibly 300,000,000?
That's early-next-decade, though. )
