Yeah, a potato would most likely not change anything and keep things the way they are. A bit like a modern day DNC democrat...

NSC and BBB. PVV looks like it might stay as one of the biggest, if not the biggest. But I hope that a successful campaign from other parties can change that. The big party on the left was only trailing by 1 seat at the last polls.

As a Dutch person, I'm very pleased this happened. The only thing that could've made it better is if it happened earlier. In the news coverage yesterday you could already see all the "ex" government parties trying to spin it in the most positive way for themselves. I really hope it doesn't work this time. 2 of the 4 current government parties look set to be nuked next time around and have basically no influence anymore. I just really hope that means that people look more towards the left (or at least the center) when voting again. We've had a very long time with right wing governments now and enough is enough.

Our country has been suffering for a long time and things have definitely been getting worse societally, more and more people have been turning into right wing nut jobs who assault police and medical personnel and misbehave in all possible ways.

The main reason why the more populist government won this time around over the VVD (the more centrist conservative party) is down to the failures of the VVD in the years before, causing this mess we're currently in, and the fact that the populist candidate slightly softened his rethoric about immigration. Don't get me wrong, he still hates immigrants but he went from wanting to ban Islam and burn Koreans to just wanting to send immigrants back to their own country. On top of that, he also seemingly steered more into being there for the "normal" (read: white) Dutch person.

As for them not getting anything done: this was more or less expected. It's part of the right wing playbook but it's also just such a mess here politically with all the different factions with different goals that cancel each other out that it is very difficult to achieve anything.

Want more houses? Farmers have to give in, leading to massive protests and tractors on the highways. Also, with the farmers party in the government this could cause them to have to resign. Want more farmers? This isn't allowed due to Dutch (and EU) nature laws and regulations (thank God we have those). Want to give money to lower class people? Oh wait, they're right wing... They might promise that to win votes but that will never happen.

At the moment the best we can hope for is that the populist leader comes through on his threats of pulling out of the government if he doesn't get his (crazy) way soon and that the people here have learned their lesson that voting right doesn't achieve anything. I'm sure VVD will still get a lot of votes but I at least hope that we can get a mixed government again, it's been a long time since that happened...

I've been considering making the step myself since the deadline is approaching and I feel my pc isn't at the end of its lifespan yet. How would it work with games and other stuff I have installed? Would I need to reinstall everything? Or would it be able to pick up the game installations seamlessly?

That's kinda sad. After everything he achieved with the club they just force him out? Why not give him a 1 year extension on a lower salary and put him on the bench? He's probably not going to play much more than 1 more season anyway.

I've even seen it a lot that people don't even reply to "how are you", they just start talking about something else. So weird...

Netherlands. Pretty similar to the UK but our rains generally come in bigger bursts compared to your shorter periods of rain.

They'll just lie about it and make their supporters think they did something good.

So, genuine question. If someone is non-binary (which I believe Bella has said they are), does that mean that they are in the run for best actress? Or best actor? It sounds like it's best actress but it seems like a bit of a difficult one. What would happen with someone with pronouns opposite of their birth gender?

I hope they do this in the whole country, we're already getting bombarded enough with those commercials on TV. Don't need constant reminders about cheap airline tickets on the street...
