Amazingly there's still people in the us who think this war is just...

Yeah literally no one wanted this
Dedicated conservatives are like "he broke this promise" lol
"Isn't there someone in this room you're not getting to ask" - American oil executives.
This has been one of the biggest boons to American oil producers in the nation's history. Not only has this irreparably damaged opec, but it's happening at the same time we have sanctions on Russia, and have control over Venezuelan oil reserves.
America's foreign policy is directly being controlled by big oil.
They're blaming Biden, either for starting the war, or for giving nukes to Iran. I wish I was kidding. I hear it all day at work.
Some sure are, regardless of how they are dealing with the cognitive dissonance, trying to blame someone else or just not think about it or some platitude like "well I don't agree with EVERYTHING he does...", no one outside of a pretty small circle actually APPROVE.
I mean, Biden does get his fair share of blame here for slow-walking negotiations with Iran among other things. He obviously didn't start the war, but his choices led to prolonging the post-JCPOA situation where such a war was even possible. That doesn't excuse Trump, you know, starting the damn war, but there's plenty of blame to go around.
Also his unwavering support of military aid for Israel put them in the position where they felt like they could push for this
If there's anything the last 10-15 years of politics should have taught us it's that we need to neutralize the Joe Bidens and Hillary Clintons of the world or we're going to inevitably end up with more Donald Trumps seizing power
That sounds like a both-sides argument to soften the garbage and lies Trump has perpetuated.
Biden was having talks starting in 2021. Needless to say, Iran both refused to agree on terms and insisted that talks be held via an intermediary, even though Washington was willing to negotiate directly with Iran, slowing negotiations further.
That’s a far cry from Biden “slow-walking.”

My tolerance for this kind of bullshit has been low lately, so if you're going to continue this assuming I'm an undercover MAGA just tell me so I can do something better with my time.

The original JCPOA took 18 months to negotiate, and the Iranian elected government (which, yeah, it's not very powerful but they have one of those) was run by moderates at the time. Trump reneging on the JCPOA helped the hardliners win the next election, and the Iranians of course lost what little trust they had in America for the same reason, so by all means it was going to be harder than the original run. Biden did not do a better job, or even the same quality of job, as Obama. For example you have him refusing to walk back Trump-era escalation requested by Netanyahu and reneging on his own word to back up Israel. And, of course, he did nothing (or whatever he did wasn't very successful) to restrain Israel from escalating with Iran in this period, which can't have helped him earn the Iranians' trust. In short, he thought he could play hardball when he had to earn back the Iranians' trust that his predecessor had squandered.

Both sides!
FTFY
Lady G did, because he's definitely the one we should definitely trust with stuff like this.
The only metric here is (fuel) price. Who cares about the war crimes, dead people, destroyed countries and so on.
Honestly, I'm amazed opposition to Israel was as high as it was before the war on Iran. The genocide had negligible impact on fuel prices, food prices, employment, or any direct material thing in the lives of yankees. Yet, they hated it. It was really heartening!
It gives me hope that, maybe, yankees aren't solely motivated by gas jumping 40 cents in the past week.
The opposition to Zionist Israel has been growing slowly for a long time. I only learned about it in 2011 (though it wasn't difficult to convince me that Israel and the US support was out of line).
Gas prices are immediate consequences. Its damn near impossible for people outside the US to know how vital car ownership is. As an example, I have a close friend who has split custody of her child, but the dad lives about a 45 minute drive away in a very tiny town. No buses or trains (not even tracks) between the two. And a 45 minute drive on highways at 65mph. (No she didnt support the war before this FYI).
This is considered "nearby." I have a friend with a 140 mi round trip commute. My parents are a 20 minute drive away. A large chunk of the rest of my family is a 9 hour drive away. Buses, trains, bikes, its all not a thing we can do.
Gas prices isn't about the cost to drive. Gas prices directly impact our entire lives. (Thank fuck I have an EV now).
In a lot of ways it was kinda inevitable from a cultural point of view. A lot of support for Israel has been historically driven by the Holocaust but as multiple factors have changed over the decades the direct support originating from the Holocaust and leading to Israeli support has slowly dried up. Between Israel being a genocidal shithole, the Holocaust fading into secondary memory, and the Holocaust being recognized as not just a Jewish but something that effected basically every minority have caused some of the collapse in support we've seen.
Note I am not trying to underplay the horrors of the Holocaust and how much energy was focused on the Jewish people, I am simply lacking in the verbage required to not sound like a bit of a dick.
Also the interconnected nature of the modern world makes Israels actions far more upfront and harder to suppress, we are far along from Jack Churchill making comments on the viciousness of it all but him being ignored.
They're opposed to it but their not going to change their voting habits.
"yeah he lied about no new wars but we can't have WMD's in the middle east"
I'm of the opinion that Trump's second term was all about him enriching himself and friends and more importantly, getting back at americans as a whole for embarassing him and not electing him to consecutive terms.
Something his predecessor did, easily.
