    Hahaha! Good. That gets rid of the shit landlords. The changes aren't even that dramatic. You can't get rid of a tenant if they haven't done anything wrong, is one of the new changes. If that makes a landlord "quit" then good riddance

    This mean that house prices will fall since fewer buyers will be interested. The question is whether the houses will be gobbled up by private equity or will be allowed to fall down enough for more people to start buying houses to live in

    Nah, the houses will be bought by investment firms. Rent prices ain't going anywhere.

    Only if those firms smell a profit, which apparently means selling them, rather than renting them.

    Unused property makes no money.

    Most of them overpaid and overmorgaged. They had to rent out at the highest possible rent to generate profit. Now they get fucked by their own greed.
