Seriously. People are full of that 'you can't be heavy handed against fascists, because then you're no better than they are! ' bullshit.

I disagree.

lmao Batman is such a great example of that kind of mentality.

Batman repeatedly lets villains live and then they continue ruining and killing people all the time as result. The dude is a billionaire and he's just LARPing being a hero who will never have to experience being poor in the most crime-ridden cities of the world.

Honestly a great liberal hero :)

Well, batman mostly fights people experiencing mental health issues. Atleast those seem to be the mainstream stories.

He probably needs to do more structural change to help there

The Joker movie was quite good. Part2 too.

The trials of nũrremberg were fundamental in the reinstatement of democratic processes all over ex Nazi territories. Nazis got to go.

The nuremberg trials were a farce and the people behind it managed to create a west German government with more Nazis in power than the actual nazi governmen.

    Edit:

Let's see: Nazis in Germany post-war were hired and brought directly back into:

but other than all of that though!

(And that's not even mentioning the Nazis and collaborators which made up the origins of Radio Free Europe/Liberty, the "Victims of Communism Foundation" which grew out of the fascist-filled anti-Soviet "Captive Nations Lobby" headed by OUN-B Nazis from Ukraine, and all the Operation Aerodynamic, Operation Paperclip, Operation Sunrise, Operation Beladonna, Operation Lynx, etc etc.)

Why would this be about "Stalinism?" Stalinism isn't really a thing anyways, Stalin synthesized Marxism-Leninism. This is a meme directed against imperialism and capitalism.

    Fine

    Then I'll be bad too

Any "I'll kill this innocent if you don't give me what I want" moral quandary as well. Your attempt to blackmail me into feeling responsible for your killing of someone is utterly absurd.

No, i can be 0.0000001% as bad as you and potentially improve or not endanger the lives of millions.

I honestly think forgiveness should be a major column in our movement, but if someone isn't even trying to do good...

I can forgive many things. People should be allowed to make mistakes.

I also know some people who are not stupid and yet keep doing evil things the moment they have paid back whatever the consequences were of their last bad deed. I really don't know what to do with this kind of people.

I think a society must be built on some kind of trust, more so than laws, but it seems impossible when some people just can't be trusted.

If they are ready to reform or are not a threat, forgiveness can be a good option, provided that there are trials and punishments

But if not in such a scenario, it would be different.
Obviously, saving millions from being directly harmed by someone is more important.
