Part of the deal was that Israel had to stop bombing Lebanon. That is probably a big part of why Trump rehected it.

The first ceasefire deal included the US handing Iran $300 billion. The current rejected ceasefire deal only wanted $12 billion in funds unlocked, withdrawal of forces and no more Israel bombing Lebanon.

The $12 billion can't be the deal breaker becuase of the previous $300 billion offer. The withdrawal of forces probably isn't the deal breaker because most deescalation deals would include something like it. This leaves stopping Israel bombing Lebanon as the reason to reject the deal.

Somebody needs to tell Trump to make a deal. He hasn't got the cards, and he's making the lives of everyone globaly significantly worse.

It's amazing how a few weeks to an upcoming election changes politicians and the events they direct. Republicans are distancing themselves from Trump, and Trump isn't gonna bomb Iran until after the elections. Perhaps we should have continual elections?
