FYI, this guy is no longer a representative, he lost his primary this year to another MAGA chud.

When I see a congressman from Alabama who's this dumb, I suspect that representative democracy works.

I mean, they gave us Tommy “all pilots are furries” Tuberville, so you are correct.

This man is denser than any rock. I say let's ship him out to the middle of the ocean drop them in and see.

I mean, it's technically true right?

Like, if a rock falls into the ocean, then that amount of space is displaced. It would be like arguing that the amount of rubber tires leave behind causes the roads to rise in elevation, but it's not wrong per-se.

Actually when sediment goes into the ocean from rivers it eventually causes a load to build up on the seabed and this causes it to subside. So generally sea level does not rise because the entire crust is sinking into the mantle. However, there are local effects like flexure which causes the crust to bow up adjacently, which could ironically cause the local sea level to fall. By sea level I technically mean shoreline regression.

The brittle crust maintains something called isostacy as it floats buoyantly on the ductile mantle, think of it like an ice cube floating in water with 10% always above the surface. That relative 10% doesn't change despite the addition or subtraction of ice to the top of the cube, only the absolute height changes.

I mean, ice is a rock. It melts and enters the ocean, causing sea rise. So ... technically correct?

This is the second-dumbest thing I've ever heard a Southern Representative say about things falling into the ocean.

Is it the tumbling or the landing?

  • He looks like the stereotypical person I think of when I think of someone from Alabama, only he's dressed in a suit.

Lol I mean that would cause the sea levels to rise. If you put the same rocks on a boat it would make the sea levels rise even more

    Rocks fall. Republicans die.

I mean, sure... there's always some volcanism "growing" about, but ... also, we're making it hot in here by running all these engines and belching.

So, if anything, you just doubled the reality that we're working with; however, we can curb the belching to some degree, but we have no control on volcanism... nor should we. That volcanism relieves pressure that could build into an explosive volcano.

Well, I think it's clear the rocks are coming from his head.

Nothing but pebbles rattling around in there now.
