Probably ain't gonna come down anytime soon either.

A few months ago I looked at oil/gas futures prices and they were all suggesting prices would steadily go down from then on. At first I was shocked but then I realized its a casino after all and almost everyone involved needs to believe things will magically resolve because that's what their framework of the world demands. Broke me sitting on my parents couch thought it was obvious that this wasn't the case, and how easy it would be for a betting man to make a pretty penny off this. Turns out I was very right, not that it matters.

Its going to be interesting to see how these financial markets react to the inevitable death of the western house of cards.

At least in the broad scope of things these prices are quite a good thing; increased urgency for renewables, energy independence, american "allies" realizing that being an ally to the US fatal ect ect.

Unfortunately the impact for those responsible for the Iran & Ukraine wars will be less severe. Those in the global south will be cutoff first and already are. Although the USA is so ridiculously diesel and gas dependant that it somewhat cancels that out.

Oh yeah, I'm almost certain he's CIA funded. He does this more sophisticated style propaganda, where the facts he presents are correct, but he adds this subtle framing you have to look for. And if you don't know the details it all sounds very legit. For example, when he discusses Yemen and Saudi Arabia, he just conveniently leaves out how Saudi Arabia annexed 3 provinces of Yemen in the 30s, and they've been trying to do a genocide in Yemen. Kind of important context. Or how he gives numbers through out the video, but then when it comes to the claims of Ukraine knocking out Russian refineries he all of a sudden starts hand waving, and doesn't mention that Russia isn't actually a major diesel export globally in the first place.

So, yeah, he's definitely a sack of shit, but I did learn a bit from the second half of the video, so worth watching.
