The only way you'll ever give me free health-care is to pry it into my cold, dead hands.
post
I'm be real, and ain't nobody wanna hear this but...
Even with full health insurance, most hospitals and doctors in my 50 mile radius area either do not accept patients or are booked out to 5 months. I really think we have a educational problem that's leading to not enough qualified doctors. I also see a lot of "Nurse Practitioners" and actual MDs that are running rounds at multiple area hospitals.
Not only does DJT know that Democrats won't pass Universal Healthcare (setting them up for failure), but doing so would lead to cutting corners on actually educating qualified doctors, possibly leading to more harm than good.
IMO the bigger issue is education, planning, and prioritizing. We (as a Nation) can't go all in on Universal Healthcare without planning and prioritizing education and ensuring that our system can handle the flood of new patients.
Ha, Democrats can't even pass higher minimum wage with a house majority. Even when it was Biden's platform.
Not one standalone bill. They had two years of a majority.
There will be no universal healthcare in the USA until Amazon and Meta decide that we should have universal healthcare.
To be fair, the Democrats had control of Congress during an earlier term too (2009-2011), and in that term they passed the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). When was the last time the Republicans passed anything beneficial at all, let alone as beneficial as the ACA?
Until medical costs are capped, ain't gonna happen and the shithole US healthcare system will expand.
That's literally the point of Universal Healthcare provided by gov, they force medical costs to go down by going to the drug companies "well if you don't reduce price, we won't buy it, and we're the only shop in the whole country"
Look at the price Germany pays for FLUOROURACIL VITANE 50ml - β¬3.66
Same exact drug, same exact dosage in USA - $15.99
(Looked up a price comparison and copypasted the first price I found)
Are those ads in the corner of the screen? What's going on there lol?
I thought it was a random pile of salsa, but it's a random pile of coffee and cereal just hanging out with the stock ticker.
Sometimes, I wonder if Trump is actually a leftist who try his best to destroy the US by being as right-wing as he can.
Why are Democrats never as cool as Republicans say they are? Like they controlled the entire government under Obama and the best we got was making it illegal to not have health insurance.
This reminds me very much of Talladega Nights: "If I let you win, how am I gonna win?"
This is from the 2024 campaign. Which he won, bafflingly.
Republicans always make Democrats sounds way cooler than they really are
Here's the part I don't understand.
In 2025, approximately 22 million Americans received subsidies through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace to help pay for their health insurance. That's millions of working Americans who depend on these subsidies to afford coverage.
So who exactly is this statement supposed to appeal to? A significant number of Trump's own constituents rely on healthcare.gov to purchase their health insurance. Without those subsidies, many of them are going to face the same financial reality I would.
Without my subsidy, my health insurance would cost approximately $1,800 a month. That's $21,600 a year just to have health insurance, before paying a single dollar in deductibles or copays.
That's absolute insanity.
Voting against your own interests is a common thing that happens in democracies.
Man... Yeah, you're absolutely right. That really is a matter of perspective.
I think what I struggle to understand is how people can intentionally vote against their own interests under the guise of familiarity. Have people genuinely been conditioned to believe that things that benefit society as a whole, and them as individuals, are somehow detrimental to them personally, while those same policies are somehow detrimental to the profits of large corporations?
I don't know, man. It's difficult to wrap my head around how effectively people can be convinced to work against their own interests.
Humans are terrible.
So who exactly is this statement supposed to appeal to?
Left leaning voters specifically. He knows Democrats won't be able to bring forth Universal Healthcare in a term or maybe even 2. It's just to rile leftists and set up Democrats for a failure he knows they won't be able to commit to.
So he's conceding that Republicans are going to lose the elections this year and he wants to throw egg into the face of Democrats when they don't provide universal healthcare?
That's... No. No man. Leftists have nothing to do with any of this.
It's something close to 80% of all Americans have their insurance either provided for them through Medicare and Medicaid or the workplace the other 20% is mostly through the healthcare act and the others are paying for themselves or don't have it at all.
The extreme vast majority of the people that he is referring to already have some form of healthcare assistance nobody is going to buy this.
So who is he saying this to? Who's supposed to look at this and go oh my God not free healthcare!?
he wants to throw egg into the face of Democrats when they donβt provide universal healthcare?
Yes, absolutely. That's just the kind of person he has been so far. Ignorant leftists blame Democrats for not backing Universal Healthcare, DJT points out that that's a possibility if Democrats get majority (which is absolutely is not), it's a simple ploy is all. DJT throws things at the wall constantly to see what sticks.
Look at it creating a buzz here. Surely it's making it's rounds on Reddit, Facebook, and X as well. Unless it's a narrative that him and his cronies keep pushing, it'll be done talked about by tomorrow.
If it does end being a narrative they keep pushing, it makes Democrats look weak as it's not something they can commit to even though it's something a majority of American would want.
You actually make a very strong case here. You might be right, and I have to admit, itβs just crazy to me that this seemingly senile old man could be capable of such a high level of strategic thinking.
Iβve lived my entire life in this country and lived through the administrations of numerous presidents, but Iβve never seen anything quite like this. This entire administration is operating in ways that feel completely unprecedented in modern American history.
I have never seen the federal government treat immigrants with such abject disdain and discrimination. The racism and sexism are so blatant, so openly displayed, that you would think theyβd be enough to turn the American people against this administration. And yet, somehow, those very things seem to energize its supporters rather than alienate them.
I genuinely hope they push things far enough that the American people finally begin to push back in a meaningful way. But then again, weβve already seen massive protests, and it often feels like they accomplish very little. At some point, you have to wonder what it will take for people to draw a line and demand something better from their government.
When Trump uses words like "we" and makes speeches, he is only referring to his donors and henchmen.
We aren't even a thought for him, not even his cult
There are people, who are afraid, free healthcare will lead to people not taking care of their health. That's how they tried to astroturf the "pro-paid healthcare" movement in Hungary.
Which is BS of course, expensive healthcare makes people skip on prevention which leads to worse health and more expensive treatments. You just have to look to the US to see that.

They are usually the same people that weighs 350 pounds and don't trust vaccines.
