there are catches of course, but if you have a flexible schedule and you're flying around north, central and northern South America, it's a pretty good deal for 4 months of $16 flights.
that said, this will be my first time trying the pass, so I will post again about how it goes after I'm a few flights in.
Key points:
you pay taxes and fees per flight($15-30 USD)
gowild tickets are confirmed tickets, not standby
routes are mostly in the continental United States with a few central and South American exceptions.
no carry-on or checked bags are included, can be purchased or circumvented with a pack-it jacket.
domestic flights are only available one day in advance, international flights are able to be ordered 10 days in advance.
not perfect for everyone of course, but a very good deal for flexible travelers in the americas.
Today, floghts to Chicago are $186-$220, but only $16 for a gowild pass holder.
