I like Mason's ("67 guy") ice cream hairstyle/haircut. I thought that was called Wings but ice cream hair was new to me

Maybe a little more understated/less flare-outey but thr general form I am envious of

Very fun and elegant in its own way. Super quirky

After almost twenty years with long hair, I recently started shaving my head because I started to go bald... I actually get a lot of compliments for it, but I would really love to have my long hair back with the hair growth I had in my twenties.

Tbh imo frfr that is not a haircut but male adolescent without a haircut for 2-3 months. At least that’s why/how I had this haircut in my time of relative youth.

Same buzz cut / grown-out buzz cut as I do now. I like low maintenance.

    Super-glue mohawk.

It's a one time style for that hair, and would be a bitch to sleep with, but I would enjoy the shit out of it.

I've been balding for a few years now, so I've been just keeping my hair as short as possible with minimum effort (basically giving myself a buzz cut every few weeks). If I could just stop hair on my head from growing back altogether, it would save a lot of hassle.

Oh, and my armpits too, while I'm at it.

You actually can, though, with the armpits. Get an IPL like the Braun SilkProExpert or something I think its called. Underarm hair is the perfect spot since its so small by surface/treating area and dense. It sort of burns the fuckers alive so to speak

I aftualy dont mind mine, I appreciate their sweat wicking function in that one case (nowhere else do i have that scceptance lol) altho at any given time it could fairly be described as "needing a good trim"

Yet to "get into" maintenance trimming. Now that I'm on the subject of IPL I think I'll bust out my old machine for the next 12 weeks, only lasted like 4-6 last time but I have my shit better together, nowzers

I would have my long hair back.

I'm growing it back out now, but my hair used to be about three feet long. Took a long time to get to that point.

I've been bald on top since my 20s, and I'm in my 60s now. I've kept it very short since then (#2 all over). It might be nice not to worry about a scalp burn, but at this point I don't think I'd grow it out if I had hair - I'd still do the #2. It's so much easier to deal with. I'm actually completely fine with being bald, too.

But if you could magicall_ have anything,

in your heart of hearts, did you always want a #2 as a kid When you still had the good stuff

What I wanted was a kid and what I want now are very different, and that's really my point. As a teen, I wore my hair somewhat long and that's what I wanted. I wouldn't have given it up, and going bald was really painful. But after the decades of being a bald guy, I honestly prefer it over that. It's so much easier to deal with, and I even think the look suits me.

Nice, I'm glad it all balanced out in the end. I like when people are able to find and exploit the value in obstacles rather then be tyrannized by the things they cant control

I've told a lot of people that going bald is a horrendous torture, but being bald is completely fine. If it happened all at one and you woke up bald, it would be a terrible day but then you'd adjust and be fine. Instead it happens little by little. You keep having to adjust to a new reality every week/month/year. The you that you see in the mirror doesn't match your self image, and that's really disconcerting. Once it levels off, and your self image matches, it's fine.

Did you fight it by taking like dutasteride and minoxidil or did you passively let it take its course

My dad was bald, so I knew there was a good chance it would happen to me. When I realized that as a teen, I found myself looking at bald guys and what looked good or bad. Comb-overs look bad. Bald on top with long hair looks bad. My dad wore a toupee (a good one), and it actually looked fine, but he was tied to it; he never wanted anyone to see him without it, and he had to wear the hair hat even when it was hot. The rogain type stuff was new when I was going bald, but I didn't trust a brand new drug, and I read that you had to take it forever or you'd lose whatever gains it provided.

In the end I decided that the only things that looked good were cutting it short or shaving it off. I tried shaving it once and didn't think it suited me, so I've just kept it short. Admittedly I had a period early on where I should have cut it shorter but was still holding on to a an old look even though it wasn't working.

If you were offered a free all-expense paid trip to Turkey for a hair transplant, would you do it at this point?
