I fucking love fruit and fibre but try not to eat it cos it's so sugary. I eat porridge and occasionally shredded wheat bitesize

Muesli. πŸ˜‹

It's just granola. I would wear a horse's oat bag and eat this stuff if I had an oat bag.

I don't buy cereal. I cannot be trusted to have "just one bowl". That milk is gone. That entire box is gone.

When I do give in and prepare my bowels for a bumpy 24 hours, I am very partial to Special K and Bran Flakes.

They're healthy! So it's allowed

[–] tetris11@feddit.uk 2 points 1 month ago

So I keep telling myself
*stares tearfully at the poor abused toilet*

Bran flakes have a lot of sugar in them. I'm sure Special K does too, but I love it too much to risk checking

[–] LadyButterfly@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

If you don't check it doesn't exist! I'm doing that with a huge bar of chocolate in my fridge. If I don't look the calories don't count

oatmeal with oat milk

my username is pure coincidence i assure you

Controversial opinion, maybe, but IMHO oat milk is better than dairy for everything except cooking. Also, even more controversial opinion: I encourage people to call it "oak milk" but I absolutely do not think companies should be allowed to call it "oat milk".

This. So much this.

Best in chex mix too, and it's also super great mixed with other cereals. My favorite is crispix and lucky charms and crispix and cocoa krispies. (NOT cocoa pebbles)

It’s got to be crunchy nut corn flakes!

[–] LadyButterfly@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Oh they are niiiiice so much sugar though

[–] alchemy88@feddit.uk 1 points 1 month ago

That’s why they’re so nice πŸ˜†

Weetabix or weetos (though that's a rare treat)

I'm just now realising the Weetabix company has my number

I don't usually have cereal for breakfast though, usually just black coffee and maybe toast on a weekday and something a bit more extravagant like a fry up or salmon and cream cheese at the weekend

[–] LadyButterfly@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Is toast enough? I'd be ravenous by mid morning

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Honestly for me yeah I prefer a bigger lunch and dinner weekdays usually.

I also skew kinda late with my meals, ideally breakfast about 10am, lunch between 1 & 2 and dinner I'm completely fine eating at 9pm and in summer actually prefer even later (heat just seems to kill my appetite for food)

mm those are so good

[–] deadcatbounce@reddthat.com 2 points 1 month ago

(UK) The original Alpen. Doesn't bear any relation to that I had in my youth, though. And it makes me fart without ending - I literally walk faster.

Not close fourths:

  • curiously cinnamon
  • crunchy nut cornflakes
  • fruit and fibre

None of them are like they were twenty years ago. They've changed in a variety of ways.

Wheat, it is really useful and fairly hardy

Frosted Mini Wheats!!

[–] Krill@feddit.uk 1 points 4 weeks ago

I'm likely going to get slated for this.

Nabisco chocolate teddy grahams.

I could eat a box per day easily.

[–] RebekahWSD@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

I never found one I enjoyed! I think trying to figure out milk to cereal ratio drove me mad and I really don't like eating them dry at all.

[–] GoldenFigApple@feddit.uk 1 points 1 month ago

Chocolate squares. I don't have them though. Too much sugar. It's a dessert treat.

Used to be Ricicles. They were basically Rice Krispies just more sugary
