I am somewhat disappointed that Mia's story didn't continue in the direction it was made to look like it would honestly, even if it wasn't too unexpected. However it is consistent with the character I believe, since it was pretty weird how okay Mia was with Dexter being the (fake) Dark Passenger that killed random innocent people.
I guess that's why I thought she might be testing Dexter's morals lol, until she found her new target ๐Ÿฅบ

But good on the show for at least not resorting to its own ol' tropes of finding a new love interest that would have to disappear after some time.

I did think she was going to suspect Dexter at the end there though, maybe he got lucky and got out scot-free \o/ ... but probably not...
And Dexter also still has to make his presentation ๐Ÿ˜†

I too definitely thought Mia was trying to understand Dexter and they would talk about their codes. Especially awkward for Dexter since it's clear whatever "code" Red had is VERY different than Dexter.

I'm honestly a little bummed that Mia didn't have any sort of "code" or ethos. Even NPH had the thing with tattoos. Mia was just down to kill whomever. She also clearly had a torture vibe, which I found a little surprising, not from a character standpoint but from a, "Boy Dexter was lucky she didn't immediately kill her victims" standpoint.

But importantly... How the fuck is Dexter going to explain all of this? He just keeps digging the hole deeper. I can only assume he's going to kill everyone and then when it's time for dinner be the only guest who shows up. (Although killing Peter Dinklage isn't really in his code. Even Uma Thurman, so far she killed another killer, that's hardly against Dexter's code nor can be prove it.)

iโ€™m kinda glad they went this way with Mia. To me it felt like it was going to be too similar to Lila in season 2.

Yeah same, I just wonder if this will be the end of her character. I thought another character with a code like Dexter's, could be very interesting. I am more disappointed by that than Dexter losing a love interest.
