If people want to leave that's fine but somebody needs to put in the work necessary to dismantle the empire from within. "Just leave" is a solution for individuals; not the masses as a whole.

Some of us are too poor to leave anyhow.

If I could, I would, but I don't have any skills that a local couldn't already do just as well, if not better.

I'm disabled. I don't think many countries accept foreign disabled people.

I would if I could, but aside from teaching English (which I have terrible experience with), I don't think I have any labor to offer that would get me a visa or a job there...

While I wish I could agree with you, there are a lot of us that are stuck here.

Lost souls in a fishbowl, ya know?

Why should I? This is my home. Not theirs.

Are you implying that the success of a country depends solely on the culture, ideology, and politics of the people in government? Does that makes you too authoritarian to be in America with its empty slogan of democracy, human rights, pluralism, and rule of law? If you think that the living condition of a country does not depend on climate, rich natural resource, stolen cultivated land, strategic trading locations, free Indigenous child slaves in Indian Residential fake schools, free stolen inheritance in fake cultural assimilation of Indigenous children, authoritarian colonial free riding, nor special privilege from global empires, then why do you not go live in a harsh barren wasteland like the Federal Reserve concentration camps that imprisons any First Nations people who demands reparation from European invaders?

You can also live in the moon or Mars where you can prove your ideology that you can magically produce infinite finance for the travel cost and the magical power to make a perfectly habitable land from barren wasteland within one year like what Fukuyama wrote in The End of History about the Soviet states. Besides, the Western people did had the myth that Nazi can operate establish successful settlement in Antarctica and that the Scary Red people have the invitation of the Invisible Hand to rule over lazy Capitalists in Pax Americana.

Yeah .. Find me an AES nation that'd take my wife and I in when I haven't yet finished my degree. Many places will not welcome you unless you have skills to provide. In addition we're both trans women so that doesn't help the situation.
