That isn't true, but whatever.

There's a fairly wide range of reasons someone might be able to walk and still need the technique applied, and it's bullshit that this twat implies otherwise

Edit: I'm too pissed off to leave it at that.

Walking by itself does encourage lymph to move through the body, that's true. But it isn't the only way it happens, and more importantly it scales with the duration and intensity of the walking.

So, anyone with something like osteoarthritis in the hips and knees is going to be going slower and needing more stops, reducing the efficacy of walking for fluid movement.

Fibromyalgia is another big one that vastly limits walking, and directly benefits from the fluid release massage along with the lymphatic movement it promotes.

It really doesn't fucking matter why a person has limited mobility though. This asshat and his smug, ableist bullshit can go fuck himself. Just go for a fucking walk. Jesus fucking Christ, what empty headed drek comes out of people

I see you’ve learned to crop images. Good job!

Is 29 too young to relate to this or is it oddly specific?

My gf does these lymphatic drainage massages because of exactly that. She had cancer and beat it over 10 years ago now but it wrecked her lymphatic nodes in places which causes swelling of body parts. These massages can help to relieve that a little.

Ironically what exacerbates it is any kind of exercise, she doesn't let that hold her back and is extremely active but going for a walk can actually cause swelling and so a lymphatic drainage massage might help that after the fact.

Same with my wife. A tummy tuck results in swelling by the end of the day if she pushes it too much. She is still incredibly active, even works as a fitness instructor and her coworkers call her nuts for how much she does. But sometimes she just needs some targeted massaging and rest.

It is but not only for them. Morbidly obese people need it usually too
