By making practical use of the heat byproduct, you could argue the cats are making the GPUs more efficient

    Depends. But usually such mining centres are closed like bunkers and don't let any people or animals in.

    Maybe in India Mongolia smb. built this in a shack and the cats went there, but then it would not be that much money lost.

    You know what doesnt lose value from a cat curling up on it or a power outage?

    Precious metals.
