In a new posting on Instagram, filmmaker Michael Bay has seemingly denied reports from earlier this week that production has begun on a “Skibidi Toilet” which he’s directing. In the video, a very relaxed-looking Bay is by himself around a large glass-ceiling room and says: “I went on the internet last night and it says […]

Why the fuck would anyone watch that movie?

It's one of the defining pop culture creations of Gen Alpha, they will definitely pay to see a film adaptation (or get their parents to pay).

I don't know, but slop can sell well.

A skibidi movie could be the one that would explode him into fame.

"But now that you mention it, I can see a vision: BOOM! Boats! CRASH! Cars! EXPLOSIONS!Elephants! And that will just be brunch!"

Calling the series "brainrot" & "slop" when y'all more than likely haven't watched it. Disappointing.

The guy who created the series is actually a massive Transformers fan and made some absolutely fantastic fights and visuals into the series. I found myself actually getting a bit tense watching some of the fights!

The title and original hook have probably put a lot of folks off, but if you don't understand something.. look into it! You may be surprised.

Downvote me, cowards. You're becoming the old fucks who refuse to even learn about anything new.

My kid made me watch it with him a few times, and to be frank I could not find honest arguments to discourage him from watching it. Even though I'm a 40 year old prick, i found it quite engaging and i can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised. It's not my kind of entertainment, but it's far from being slop, or brainrot. I saw worse stuff on national tv, or in streaming services.

Oh shit, well in that case...

What I meant was that a lot of their work incorporates tons of mecha-style battles, robots, and things like that, a lot of it inspired by Transformers, both the old & new.

Y'all are just shitting on a creative for what?

Usually sympathetic to the contrarian perspective but Skibidi Toilet is basically a youtube poop. I don't see how it can be source material for anything.

So you've watched at least part of the series then?

Because if you did, you wouldn't refer to it as YTP.

The first part of the stuff is reminiscent of YTP, sure, but the wider part if it definitely is its own separate thing.
