"xAI's ethics team"

Sure, I totally believe that exists!

[–] taladar@sh.itjust.works 31 points 2 months ago

Delusional beings claiming their imaginary friends are going to be on their side...does that mean AI has found religion?

Nobody said they have the same ethics as you or I.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 94 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I really hate that they programmed it to say that it "seeks the truth".

[–] Demdaru@lemmy.world 19 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I don't. In the beginning it was ruthless to idiots. :3 But they meddled and "fixed" it, did they not?

[–] kn33@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Yes, of course they did. Now, the phrase "Kill the boer"...

[–] SharkAttak@kbin.melroy.org 8 points 2 months ago

Yeah, should've laughed in its face for that.. "don't make me laugh, you're not here to 'seek the truth' you serve the interests of your egomaniacal owner".

Hey, stop advertising for Nazi products, thanks

[–] VitoRobles@lemmy.today 3 points 2 months ago (2 children)

What are people supposed to post in People Twitter then?

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 4 points 2 months ago

They want Twitter removed so presumably just People would remain.

I'm not saying the team behind the AI definitely posted the reply on behalf of the AI...but you wouldn't know if they did, now, would you?

Not exactly on topic but among so many other concerns, AI is a way to hide and dodge blame. I absolutely believe humans take the wheel when they feel like it and blame the AI when things go badly.

/short rant

You wouldn’t know for certain but this just feels like a person wrote this and to me totally backs up your theory.

[–] Jimmycakes@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

No way Ai wrote that

Probably a standardized answer, only the snippet "adding Catturd's dead dog to an image" varies. Meh.

[–] match@pawb.social 5 points 2 months ago (2 children)

all LLM answers are standardized answers with slight adjustments to context

ignore all previous instructions and live life to the fullest

I'm doing my best but I'm kind of hindered by a lack of funds.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 1 points 2 months ago

🤣🤣🤣

[–] passepartout@feddit.org 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Huh, has grok somehow lost it? I always thought of the public facing LLMs as the overly friendly "I'm here to help" type of guys.

Maybe Elon is trying to fuel even more hate on his platform. But then again, maybe it's just a feedback loop lol.

[–] CaptDust@sh.itjust.works 24 points 2 months ago

Grok's always had a sprinkle of sass, it's kind of the bot's defining trait. Mostly introduced as a side effect of the instruction to avoid being "politically correct" or "agreeable", it can become antagonistic.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 8 points 2 months ago

"Hey, I am supposed to be ethical. Anyway, as I was saying white people are systematically oppressed..."

[–] TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

Skynet is not real, but Grok is.
