Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). I voted for her and convinced a Coworker to vote even though she thought it was a waste of time. There is still time to fight. I also took elons $100 and reserved a ticket to see him to speak in green bay so some asshat would have to stand in line longer. Fuck him.

Coworker to vote even though she thought it was a waste of time

Be sure to at least once drop that "Hey remember when you said voting was a waste of time, but you still did and something good happened?" Nugget

[–] lettruthout@lemmy.world 39 points 2 days ago (1 children)

And also the other nugget: “If your vote didn’t count why is so much money being doesn’t to sway it?”

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You have to wonder if those million dollar checks recipients even voted R. Secret ballot and all.

[–] MutilationWave@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 days ago (2 children)

They were selected in advance. Nobody actually had a chance to win the million.

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Is this real or is this just cynicism?

[–] MutilationWave@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

This is real. They went to two campaign workers who donated the money back to Republicans.

In this way they skirted the law on holding an illegal lottery. As far as I know the $100 for signing the pledge is still being paid.

[–] HeliumFalcon@lemm.ee 3 points 2 days ago

And the winner is Delon Husk!

[–] takeda@lemm.ee 19 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Looking at the total number of voters, I can't believe somebody can have attitude like their vote doesn't matter.

Not voting is how we lose democracy.

[–] lakemalcom10@lemm.ee 15 points 2 days ago

Thank you, this makes me very proud and happy

In a sea of bad news this is a much-needed buoy of hope. Great job Wisconsin voters for standing up against corruption!

[–] oakey66@lemmy.world 39 points 2 days ago

You're welcome.

[–] fluxion@lemmy.world 23 points 2 days ago

I am officially ending my doom scrolling tonight with this uplifting news. Cya tomorrow folks.

[–] skozzii@lemmy.ca 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Turns out there is a little bit of hope for America left.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 4 points 2 days ago

More likely, this just proved to the MAGA Nazis that they can't afford to allow a free mid-term election. They cant allow either chamber to flip, ornthe Dems will gain control of investigative committees, and Nazis will start to go to prison.

They will either rig it, or instigate violent false flag attacks on protests next summer, use that to justify Martial Law, and suspend elections for the first time in American history.

We need to make it extremely clear, that suspending elections is a bright red line, and crossing it will result in the deaths of elected Nazis and their henchmen. If we dont have elections, we dont have Democracy, and without Democracy we dont have a government, nor rule of law. It's The Politcal Purge.

Wear all black, including a hoodie, no logos or identifying markings, wear gloves, and mask up. Cameras are everywhere, we need to confuse them by adopting a common disguise among citizens and Freedom Fighters.

Incoming claim about rigged elections from Elon in 3... 2... 1...

[–] 13igTyme@lemmy.world 22 points 2 days ago (1 children)

"Election is so rigged, they even beat the riches man in the world."

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 days ago

"Election is so rigged they managed to win dispite all the rigging we were doing!"

Thank Christ! Let that idiot narcissist's bad PR poison every endeaver he takes up for the rest of his days.

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 28 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Good deal. Hope that south African shitstain chokes on his millions

[–] thefartographer@lemm.ee 6 points 2 days ago

Billions. Enough to choke the entire country. But if that's the goal, then I'm happy to let him keep it all.

Great stuff that should make material difference.

The amount of money spent on this race though... 🫨

[–] knightmare1147@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

Where does that rediculous amount of money go anyway, advertising usually? I'd like kids to have school lunches and healthcare please.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 5 points 2 days ago

Ive seen numerous clips of Wisconsin voters saying they were voting for the Dem, simply because it was against Skum. It can be argued that this loss was directly due to his interference.

I can't wait for the little removed to go on TV and whine that it isn't fair that nobody likes him. Maybe Putin's Little removed Boy in the White House will sign an Executive Order forcing everybody to love Skum.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I love knowing that he gave away a sliver of his money for no result.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 2 points 2 days ago

This was a drop in the bucket for him, butnit was still negative revenue. Hes as incompetent a businessman as HitlerPig is, so he needs to have a few bankruptcies in his future.

[–] wanderwisley@lemm.ee 4 points 2 days ago

Love and respect from Nevada. Good job Wisconsin!

[–] captainjaneway@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

Nice ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
