What sucks is when the groups and conversations never touch on a single area that you even remotely care about. Ex. Football, trashy TV shows, petty interpersonal dramas.
This is why I more often than not look for a family pet to belly-rub or find some other inanimate object to stare at while I disassociate.
At least Voyager would have nerds to talk to.
The intrepid class is intended to crew about a 150 people and do mostly long term deepspace exploration missions. I imagine that this crew would be 'close' to each other and make liberal use of those holodecks.

This is being proposed so that the bot doesn't have to read the entire README file. Humans are supposed to do it but the bot replacing them does not. Makes sense to me.

It is pretty amazing to me that some people really have to be told not to bring their expensive electronics into the shower. It's the shower, just wash your dirty ass and get out.
With the suite of sensors onboard this is the ideal mobile surviellance platform.
Cameras, Lidar creating a 3D map, EM sensors, likely microphones. All circulating all day long under the guise of providing a service that no one needs or asked for while claiming a safety record that is great until it is not.
Google paved the way with this idea when they created streetview maps 15+ years ago...which just so happened to be mapping wifi APs which is totally a necessary part of providing streetviews.
Delegating your security to any other country, like much of the world has done for decades with the US, is never a good idea. Europe did this after WW2 because so much of it was destroyed by war. Allowing the US to continue as their sugar daddy for so long is at least partially on them. Canada is feeling the sting of this too right now.
If a country can't provide for most of its own needs in terms of goods, services and energy, it has no real sovereignty.

No it is not a military vessel. It is an exploration vessel. That is the core mission. Not sure how anyone who has actually watched StarTrek miss this key point.
