I'm not saying you're wrong, because of course how the fuck would I know, but as many people keep pointing out, Iran is a much more formidable opponent than what Israel has taken on before. I just find it hard to believe that they expected the war to be over so quickly. If anything it feels to me like their intention was to set a fire that the US will be forced to put out.

But again, the fuck do I know?

Anxiety eating me alive right now

It's a person-to-person, situational thing. Usually I don't say shit until they give me an opening. Like, if someone says something to indicate they're starting to catch on that every story they hear about the DPRK seems too silly to be real, I will jump in and give them some actual information about Korea, like why there even is a North and South Korea in the first place.

I have a lot of success with easing people into things, but it really depends on the person. If they're already open, you can come at them directly, but if they're just starting to question why things suck, in my experience it's better to stoke the flame of their frustrations before presenting them with the solution.

Violence is the system.

This one haunts me. The hardest part about living under a society where the ability to profit is the primary objective is mourning for all the wonderful and amazing things we could be accomplishing if the objective was to actually give people better lives.

You sold me. That theme fucking rips. I already had this wishlisted but forgot all about it, so I'm picking it up now.

I wish so very desperately that this was solely a millennial phenomenon.

berrick o-bam

We miraculously managed to get a good deal that we could blow all our savings on to get this new HVAC unit installed about a year ago. In the last few days, it's suddenly started producing a sour smell, particularly in my room. Looking up the issue, all I see is people saying to call someone to get it cleaned because it's mold and/or bacteria build-up. I changed the filter, but the one that was there was barely dirty at all, so I don't think that was much of a fix.

I can't go into detail, but there's a lot going on right now and we can't afford much. We barely even have time to organize fixing something like this. But I don't want to take risks with our health.

Can I get some advice please? What would y'all do?

*also my god the youtube algorithm-fueled thumbnails that come up when searching for tutorials on what to do about this are truly horrendous, look at this shit, just straight up embarrassing

Are they gonna write an article in 2025 about the sharp hike in the cost of food staples in America with phrases like "deadly crackdown" or "panicked shoppers raided stores" or any of the other blatant dogwhistles used in this article, like talk about the glaring (yet mysteriously accepted) threat posed by America's nuclear weapons, just as they bring up Iran's nuclear deal?

can these people not fucking stop already?
