for me, it's that it breaks randomly. all. the. time.

With element, it was constant across two different homeservers I tried. Either logging me out, or just randomly unverifying my client and failing to decrypt messages.

with fluffychat, it's been more stable, but recently it's taken to logging me and a friend of mine out at random just like Element. After logging back in, it constantly tells me there's an error fetching the notification (even though I'm not launching from a notification) due to the account not existing.

The protocol feels incredibly fragile, since it seems every implementation trips over the same footguns, and it makes the user experience horrible.

the other options won't let you continue without performing the actions in a way that windows likes. So for someone trying to set up their PC, only the first option has zero cost.

option two requires an external drive without encryption

option 3 requires setting up a printer from that screen, so you can print the page. it won't let you continue otherwise.

if you want to back up in some other way, you just don't (or use PDF conversion from the print dialog)

Monado + WiVRn is what I use, when using ny quest while traveling. Works reasonably well :)

Might need to swap the compositor between Xrizer (default now) and OpenComposite for some games or functionality.
