surely not when you factor in in real estate π
UI less intuitive than openscad and buggier than freecad.
fuck off π
i loved openscad and the current freecad isn't buggy at all.
but i am not a heavy user.
they have released it, but f-droid, at least my installation, didn't auto update.
download it from their website and run it.
isn't that true for any "multinational conglomerate"?
i would never trust any of them to do the right thing.
you are absolutely correct, i just updated to 2.0.1.
although the app itself didn't update, and the website doesn't state the current version number.
i downloaded and updated, thanks β€οΈ
what i mean is mentioned in the last paragraph of the post:
On the other hand, if you can't be bothered with practicing the virtue of patience, then you could download the latest 2.0 beta build from the packages portal.
wtf, are you replying to yourself?
also, i am a bit out of this loop, how much does an AK cost?
i can't really be of much help, but if was thinking out loud:
- I don't think belts can handle the cutting forces, they will also stretch which will (maybe) ruin the part, create chatter, snap bits etc.
- the old standard for small milling machines is that you move the work, so you use an XY table, like you find on the taig and sherline. if you went this route, know that they make ready made xy tables, you might find them in machinery shops. that might make things cheaper.
- why not make a voron cascade? at least you know it has been thoroughly tested. you only need one ballscrew for each axis.
well they should've written "Beta" in the title, as it hasn't been released yet.
Edit: they have actually released 2.0.1 and i installed it from their website. real release, not Beta.
in the meantime I'll say "πthis asshole IS wrong"
