I find there’s this dynamic where when they’re talking about their favored platform in neutral spaces, they’ll be slavish fanboys shitting in other platforms and passionately defending their platform. But in spaces dedicated to their platform, it’s nothing but gripes and grievances about the shitty things the corporation is doing with regards to the platform.

Why is it so goddamn hard for libs to give this shit up? Like, I get having some nostalgia if the series was your first exposure to fantasy novels, but it’s also written to be a kid’s first fantasy series. There’s so much more out there in the genre you could read and get into that would be on an adult level and written much better.

It’s the Switch but more powerful, bigger handheld screen, a bit bigger joy-cons, integrated chat functions. Definitely an incremental improvement rather than a drastic evolution. The line-up is a bit thin right now but that’s typical for the launch period.
