Most likely a defective missile, yes. Its not clear if this is something worth reading into because as with all manufactured items, faulty units are inevitable with munitions. Its neat how the two stages seperated, the second stage fired, and one of the two spun out. There's no warhead on these IIRC so that explosion is all fuel and burning metal.

This game is so fucking sick. Its got overpowered mech fun stuff but when you're playing one of the lighter units you really get a feel for just how vulnerable you are, its awesome. There is an accompanying novel (havent read it, sounds cool though). To the people who are considering it: note that it is not a twin stick shooter, but rather meant to be a vehicular combat game. The direction the vehicle is facing (hull, turret, legs, ect) matters a lot and some people have found this aspect to be unexpected and frustrating.

This was a chemical explosion in a port in china some time in the late 2010s.

I think we all are to some degree. There's a lot of shit going down and theres probably as much information warfare going on as there is actual warfare right now so I can't really blame you.

Your analysis is always very sober, very grounded, and highly appreciated. Thank you for doing what you do 💗

Definitely fake, likely a generated image.

Compared to a real F-35 the geometry doesn't match up. If the wings and horizontal stabilizers broke off we would at the least see holes where they were supposed to be. The grass in the immediate vicinity would probably not be untouched like we see in the image. Lastly, AI struggles to differentiate between vehicle debris, building rubble, ashes, and clutter, so wreckage in those kinds of images tends to look like a mix of all of the above.

Im sure that Iran has the capability to down a vehicle of such a type, but I'm waiting for third-party confirmation before poppin bottles.

There are a lot of factors and its going to be hard to predict. Wind, humidity, the yield of the bomb, the actual amount of radioactive material present on-site and if the facility was hardened or not, there's probably more than that. Generally speaking, there are evacuation and response plans already written up for the areas nearby reactors, but those are only for meltdowns or leaks. IIRC no one has ever deliberately blown up a facility like those in Israel or Iran so its unclear if standard evacuation and containment procedures would suffice in that case. Imagine Chernobyl but worse, in an active warzone.

It works to get past the paywall but its not an elegant solution by any means, youll probably have to keep re-archiving the URL to get the updates.

This is my comfort film and I think I've watched it at least 10 times, I stopped counting in 2020. The first half of the movie is very entertaining but the rest of it drags a lot up until the climax at the end. When you buy the DVD from the guy himself you get a post card with a topless glamour shot on the front and an order form for his clothing line on the back. I love this film but it is also deeply misogynistic and paints women mostly as vindictive nags that take advantage of, and then destroy "good men" like Johnny.
