Tape is also difficult to steal. The machines to read the tapes are expensive and uncommon, a tape reading machine requires no internet connection, meaning it can’t be subject to man-in-the-middle attacks, and the physical storage devices can be secured and guarded when not in use.

This fucking idiot is gonna lose the plans for our nukes, isn’t he. Just like when he disabled half of twitter because he physically yanked a server rack out of the building without knowing what it did.

Convincing all the little stooges that they won’t be protected is the only way to course correct from this.

When a 20 something that goes by Big Balls is in senior management, I wouldn’t be surprised if the remaining employees think you open doors with your face.

The JFK files that trump stupidly forced to be released with no redactions, confirms that the CIA has deals with news companies to make the CIA and Government in general look better in the press.

We haven’t had a free press in half a century or more.

Half the shit he’s done has required congressional authority.

Congress is full of fascist shit lickers and is fully complicit in all of these violations to the constitution. They could have impeached him weeks ago for setting up DOGE or enacting tariffs without congressional approval, instead they sit back and act like they can do nothing.

I don’t know if people will hit the banks.

Back on black Tuesday, most things were bought with cash.

Now everyone either uses debit or credit. I don’t think there will be the big of a demand for cash unless one of the big banks says it has run out.

I do think that the credit market might implode within 6 months, as many Americans will probably forgo paying their debt to buy food for the week, and the credit companies will not have the capacity to squeeze blood from that many stones at once.

If consumer credit crashes, then the consumer economy essentially collapses, as a huge chunk of the population essentially lives on a knife edge between their bank balance and credit limits.

I give it at least a month before this all really starts to go tits up.

Anyway, I’m gonna go buy some waterproof storage bins and about 500 pounds of rice and beans tomorrow, just because that’s my new hobby.

I spent a good chunk of this paycheck on car parts for my car and my wife’s.

Breaks, oil and air filters, enough for 3 years of maintenance.

Last month was parts for the furnace.

Most of the affordable stuff is made over seas.

If you can, I suggest also stocking up on repair materials. Parts are going to skyrocket in price very soon, and it’s going to become very expensive to even do regular maintenance on most mechanical equipment.

The US is likely never going to be a manufacturing powerhouse again.

Americans love the idea of buying American made products, but not the cost and certainly not the labor that actually goes into making them at scale.

Certainly some things need to be produced domestically, and still are, either because it’s expensive or impractical to ship them, or because it’s a national security concern. But the vast majority of products your typical American buys will never be made here, because they would instantly become luxury items.

Tariffs are really meant to increase demand for domestic production, but that can only really happen if the production exists domestically to begin with.

The president has 34 of those.

Can’t be that bad

Yeah but that dude died and came back so many times he barely knows what his name is or what dimension he’s in.

He’s just tub thumping through the universe, like a cooler Indiana jones.

First, assume a spherical resistor in a vacuum, that can also dissipate heat with 100% efficiency.

Now that we’re in physics land, anything is possible.
