I think the current era of featureless glass towers and shitty oil-derived five-over-one condo blocks are a blight on the eyes. While I prefer neoclassical and Gothic and romantic and other ostentatious ornate architectural styles for the depth of detail and the opportunities for symbolic art and pleasing visuals, Soviet brutalist buildings are also quite beautiful when integrated with the environment. Like yeah, they're ugly when shot on a cloudy day in winter but they're spectacular when surrounded by greenery and maintained.

Kitchen nightmares has great radicalizing potential because you can see just how much the owners fucking suck in every episode, how inept they are at their jobs and how much they rely on their employees to know what to do

E: it's still reality show slop carefully edited to present the same narrative arc in every episode but you can't edit out the fact that the dipshit owners are the ones causing the problems

I've heard you can get delirious from the synthetic weed shit, but real weed isn't a hallucinogen. At its very worst it can trigger latent conditions that do have hallucinations though, but it doesn't cause them.

Creative? Creative peaked at that rollercoaster in one of the movies. It's all lawnmowers and getting hit by lighting nowadays

Always found it weird that Death had to orchestrate these Rube Goldberg machines to kill people instead of just disconnecting a couple of neurons from each other.

If you believe that abortion is murder, are you right to kill doctors that perform abortions? What about maiming them with intent to prevent them from working, or firebombing their clinics? You are, after all, motivated to stop murders.

Very excited for financial capitalism's final form: an airgapped box with two computers trading one stock back and forth with incrementally increased value, forever. It's kept in a museum.

Ross gets laid by doing an after-hours tour of the museum. If paleontology is presented as boring it's because Ross is boring

Check out the book On Looking: 11 Walks Through Expert Eyes. The author walks through NYC a few times, each time with a different expert, and the expert talks about the things they notice that would be overlooked by a layperson. Interesting plants, different insect species, the architecture of the area, the history of particular buildings, the typography choices on various media, etc.

Some drugs are less harmful but anything that alters brain chemistry has potential for abuse, either due to genetic tendency towards addiction or material conditions making addiction easier.
