Hardly comparable, given the Dutch have public infrastructure for long distance travel and amenities within walking and cycling distance.

Americans have to drive many multiples of the distance a Dutchman would need to, so the transport system relies on very cheap consumer fuel. Hopefully these prices will encourage the political capital required for some systemic change

You don't have PTSD, and you are right to question this alarmist diagram that suggests this misdiagnosis is common enough to be worth considering by lay people concerned about ADHD symptoms. A more broad application of 'trauma' /might/ be a better fit for this diagram, but PTSD is a very specific diagnosis (most commonly associated with flashbacks, nightmares, and avoidance). Nobody qualified to make either of these diagnoses will mix them up accidentally.

For what it's worth, the person behind the website advertised by this diagram is not licenced to practice psychology in the state they currently call home. They also completed their doctorate in 2021 at the dodgy Christian fundamentalist anti-gay George Fox university

I wouldn't trust this person to look after my dog, let alone give diagnostic advice!

No they're not saying desegregate prisons, they're saying that the assumptive requirement of prison desegregation points to how low the bar is for keeping prisoners safe.

Plenty of rape happens in male-only prisons and it doesn't even make the news. A significant portion of society believes that the threat of prison rape is an acceptable part of the punishment.

It would make more sense to segregate based on the nature of the crime, keep the sex offenders in specialised institutions away from less serious crimes

Why not? The heavier batteries are still damaging the road and more dangerous at speed. Just apply a weight levy separate from any emissions levy, that way we don't accidentally encourage huge electric SUVs.

Surely smaller, lighter electric vehicles with max. 100 mile range should be encouraged in cities. I was in a car-free town in Switzerland (Zermatt) over the summer where most of the vehicles were small electric golf carts.

A key lever in the extreme right propaganda is selling the idea that these views are widely held by the 'silent majority', or just 'common sense'. Those view counts aren't real. Look at how many people actually show up to the real-life events compared with the noise you see online. The people who do show up always look surprised by how outnumbered they are by counter-protesters.

Echo chambers like GB news want viewers to simultaneously feel weak and insecure whilst offering a false avenue to empowerment. Engaging with their material will make their influence seem much larger than it is.

I wouldn't waste your time on those platforms. You would have a much bigger impact by helping your local community, talking to real people about real problems and helping to fix them. People turn to fascism out of desperation that their shit lives are never going to change unless they force that change.

The more people in a space, whether that's online or IRL, the more important moderation/regulation becomes

It's one of the big reasons why urban city-dwellers and rural people often have very different politics

Yes, genuinely frightening how quickly AI was adopted for weapon targeting systems.

When those Iranian schoolgirls were slaughtered by the United States, I couldn't help but assume that the morons setting the parameters just plugged in a load of photos of military bases to see what would happen.

We could live in a world in which machine learning is used by the military to exercise caution and protect civilians from human error and emotional reasoning, but instead it magnifies that hubris to devastating effect - even sheltering those responsible! "It was the all-knowing computer, how was I supposed to know?"
