How can it be end2end then? If you don't have some kind of public key of your recipient, but they are still able to read the message once they proofed their identity, that means that the secret to decrypt the mail is stored on Google servers and/or part of the link which is send in a non-encrypted plain-text mail.

Regarding your specific example, there pretty good reasons not to use AI if there's an adequate alternative, so I can absolutely understand people arguing against that.

AI is resource intensive and thus bad for the environment. Results usually aren't deterministic, so the behavior is no longer reproducible. If there is a defined algorithm to solve the issue in a correct way, AI will be less accurate. If you use cloud services, you may run into privacy issues.

Not saying there aren't any use cases for LLMs or other forms of AI. But just applying it everywhere 'cause it's fancy, is not a good idea.

In general, I appreciate if people question my work or come up with proposals for improvement as long as it's polite and the person is at least qualified to some degree. However, that does not mean that I change my mind immediately and follow their advice.

Ich habe nirgendwo gegen die Verkehrswende argumentiert. Ich habe nur deinem "Fick Autos" widersprochen, das im Kontext dieses Threads (Verbrenneraus wackelt) klingt wie "Scheiß auf Elektromobilität". Was wie gesagt auch deshalb falsch ist, da auch der ÖPNV noch längst nicht vollständig elektrifiziert ist.

Wir brauchen Öffis und Elektromobilität.

Keine Frage, es gibt aber leider auch viele Strecken in Deutschland, auf denen nicht zu jeder Tageszeit 100 Menschen von A nach B möchten.

Fahr mal mit Öffis von Waldfischbach-Burgalben nach Sensweiler. Beides im selben Bundesland, circa eine Autostunde entfernt. Mit Öffis dauert das aktuell 10,5 Stunden, mit Fahrrad 7, zu Fuß 18. Das ist einfach eine extrem untypische Verbindung, die nicht viele Menschen brauchen. Wenn du jetzt aber in dem einen Ort wohnst und im anderen Familie hast, wird ÖPNV in den nächsten Jahren noch keine valide und wirtschaftliche Option sein. Wenn du dann noch etwas transportieren oder eine Mobilitätseinschränkung hast, gleich gar nicht.

Vielleicht falls es mal autonome Zubringertaxis oder flächendeckend funktionierende Carsharing-Konzepte gibt. Bis dahin sehe aber Elektromobilität als deutlichen Fortschritt gegenüber dem Status Quo, wenn auch vielleicht noch nicht die perfekte Endausbaustufe.

Ich bin absolut pro ÖPNV, aber auch pro Elektromobilität.

Erstens haben auch Öffis Motoren und zweitens sollten wir denke ich so realistisch sein, dass wir - egal wie sehr wir den Ausbaus der Öffis forcieren - noch Jahrzehnte eine Koexistenz mit dem Individualverkehr haben werden. Es gibt einfach viel zu viele abgelegene Gegenden und Sonderfälle (Rettungskräfte, Transport, Mobilitätseinschränkungen etc.) als dass man da einfach nur einen Schalter umzulegen bräuchte.

Ich hoffe, dass der Übergang so früh wie möglich kommt, glaube aber gleichzeitig nicht, dass es ökologisch und gesellschaftlich Sinn ergibt, deshalb die Elektromobilität zu blockieren.

Also ich bin ja nicht der krasseste Insider von ich_iel aber die Gurken-Maimais waren/sind für mich als Mitleser ähnlich stark vertreten wie die Störwelle vor ein paar Monaten. Bei Gurkentruppe musste ich entsprechend sofort an diese Community denken.
